George said that crews were initially dispatched to the Dollar General on a report of a shooting and found a man who had multiple gunshot wounds. The man was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital.
Homicide detectives then took over the investigation.
George said that police had no suspect information to share, and that the investigation at the scenes would be wrapping up shortly. Police were taking vehicles under investigation to another location for further processing.
UPDATE @ 11: 35 p.m.: Police now are investigating a second crime scene stemming from the shooting of a male found in a car in the 1800 block of West Third Street.

The second scene involves a shell casing police found at a Marathon service station on James H. McGee Boulevard, across from a grassy area just off the parking lot of the Dollar General store where the male and the car were found.
There is crime scene tape now around the parking lot of the Dollar General and the parking lot of the Marathon.
INITIAL REPORT
A male found shot in a vehicle in a grassy area outside a Dollar General store on West Third Street has been taken to a hospital, Dayton police said.
His condition is not known.
Police are putting up crime scene tape around the parking lot area and a grassy area between the store and James H. McGee Boulevard.
Police and a medic were dispatched about 10:50 p.m. on the report of a shooting in the 1800 block of West Third Street.
