Riverside police released the cruiser camera footage that started with officers responding near the Kroger on Spinning Road on reports of a suspicious person with a gun.

During the chase, the footage shows moments where shots were fired by the driver towards police. In one part of the video, police hit the car at the intersection of Airway and Spinning roads, causing it to spin-out but driver points a gun out the window and fires shots towards police.

The driver, who was later identified by police as Adam Cottrill, 26, of Huber Heights, was taken into custody after crashing a car into a tree near Burkhardt and South Garland avenues, investigators said.
Police used less-lethal rounds to take Cottrill into custody following the crash. No officers were injured in the incident.
Cottrill remains booked in the Montgomery County Jail on a probation violation. This news outlet is working to find out more details on the charges pending against Cottrill in the case.
