Dayton police arrest 2 sought in Miami County home burglaries

UPDATE @ 6 p.m. (Aug. 30): The two people from Troy sought in the investigation of home burglaries in Miami County are in custody.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office reports that Angela Roberts and Mark Burgin were arrested by Dayton police this afternoon and will be taken to the Miami County Jail sometime this evening.

More charges are expected to be filed against Roberts and Burgin as the Miami County investigation continues, Sheriff Dave Duchak said in a prepared statement.

INITIAL REPORT (Aug. 25)

Deputies are searching for two people believed to be involved in a series of recent home burglaries in Miami County.

Angela Roberts, 29, of Troy, and Mark Dempsey Burgin, 38, of Troy, are believed to have been involved in the burglaries.  One of the burglaries was captured on surveillance video in Monroe Twp., according to sheriff’s deputies.

The suspects, who are originally from Kentucky, could be driving what appears to be a silver or light colored SUV, possibly a Toyota 4 Runner.
