During the training, which will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., the high school will be closed.

The entrance to the school as well as the parking lot will be barricaded and closed off. Springboro Junior High School’s entrance will remain open.

Residents may see SWAT, police vehicles, and a school bus in the parking lot while the training is in session, though officials say they should not be alarmed, it is only a part of the exercise.

No students will be in the building during the training, only select staff members, but they will not be participating.

Springboro High School will reopen on Thursday.
