“Off and on light rain will continue tomorrow and into early Thursday then taper off,” he said. Temperatures will remain chilly, reaching the low to mid 40s everywhere today. Simpson said winds will continue to lessen, but gusts to 20 mph will still be possible today. “That means wind chills will still be a big factor,” he said.
Wind chills in the 20s are expected this morning.
Simpson said he does not expect any additional snow accumulation in the area today.
“Some sun finally returns toward the end of the day Thursday, and will be more mixed with clouds Friday and Saturday,” he said. “That will allow for a bit of a warmup, with highs above 50 expected Friday and Saturday after highs in the upper 40s Thursday.”
Showers are expected to return Saturday evening when several local Beggar’s Nights are rescheduled from Tuesday evening.
Beavercreek, Beavercreek Twp., Bellbrook, Bowersville, Cedarville, Fairborn, Jamestown, Spring Valley, Sugarcreek Twp., West Milton, Phillipsburg Xenia and Xenia Twp. all rescheduled trick-or-treating due to windy and rainy conditions Tuesday evening with wind chills near 30 degrees.
All but Phillipsburg and West Milton are now scheduled for Saturday evening. Those two towns will hold their Beggar’s Nights Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
