Woman charged with animal cruelty, child endangering after 125 dogs seized from home

A woman has been charged with a dozen counts of animal cruelty after 125 dogs were removed from her Miami County home in May.

Larisa A. Solomon, 52, of Concord Twp., also faces two counts of child endangering.

A search warrant was executed May 6 at Solomon’s home on Peebles Road. Two dogs were found dead and four were pregnant, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

Many of the dogs removed from the residence were puppies, mostly consisting of toy poodles and shih tzus.

Two teenage children were removed from the home by Miami County Children’s Services.

The charges stem from unsanitary, unhealthy and unlivable conditions, according to the sheriff’s office.
