4-year-old burned after falling into fire

A 4-year-old child suffered what was described as significant burns to her arms and hands after falling into a fire in the backyard of a home on Ila Sue Court, according to our partners at The Early Bird.

Union City police and fire crews responded to the incident around 10:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Ila Sue.

Union City Police told The Early Bird the child was under the direct supervision of her family when she fell into the fire.

Details on the child’s condition were not immediately released.

The child was flown to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment.
