Man airlifted after mini excavator accident in Sidney

A medical helicopter has been called this evening for a man injured by railroad equipment.

The injury was reported at 4:17 p.m. at the railroad tracks at 420 W. North St, according to Sidney police dispatch.

According to initial reports, the man’s foot was stuck under a mini excavator that may have overturned. Sidney medics took the man to Wilson Memorial Hospital. CareFlight was called to take the man to Miami Valley Hosptial in Dayton, according to CareFlight.
