Man's Eye Nearly Gouged With Stiletto

A Dayton man is in the hospital after police said a woman nearly gouged out his eye with a stiletto on Sunday morning.

What makes this case even more disturbing is that police said the victim was being a good citizen when he was allegedly attacked.

Authorities said the man was trying to help a woman who was attacked in the McDonald's parking lot on Free Pike when all of a sudden, a woman wearing stiletto heels attacked him.

A family member of the victim said, "It's just senseless. I don't understand it really."

Police said Anthony Miliner, 35, and his brother were in the drive-through when they witnessed a man beating a woman in the vehicle in front of them.

Officers said the brothers got out to help the woman and the alleged attacker took off. However, a car full of women appeared and all of a sudden, police said one of the women started attacking Miliner who is a father of four children.

According to police, the woman stabbed him in the eye with the heel of her stiletto shoe.

"When he was talking to this woman, I don't know if they thought he was jumping on her or what they thought," said the relative. "This was a woman, a lady. Maybe she didn't know what she did. She needs to know."

Miliner was first taken to Good Samaritan Hospital but doctors found his wound so severe that they rushed him to Miami Valley Hospital.

Police said the woman may have been friends with the woman who was originally attacked. They all drove away in a blue Chevrolet Suburban.

Now, Miliner might lose his eye for trying to help someone that he did not know. "I don't know the world today. Who do you help?" said Miliner's relative.

Miliner remains in Miami Valley Hospital. Police said they have no suspect and they are working on getting surveillance video that recorded the entire attack and fingerprints that were left on the car.
