Mercy Health to build urgent care, more in Liberty Twp.

Another health network will add medical facilities in Butler County.

Mercy Health-Cincinnati will open a new medical practice and urgent care location in 2019 at the intersection of Ohio 4 and Kyles Station Road.

“Liberty Twp. is a growing community and the Kyles Station development is a convenient location for families and individuals to access primary and specialty care doctors and diagnostic services,” said Mike Garfield, Mercy Health-Cincinnati’s CEO and senior vice president.

The 14,000-square-foot primary and specialty care practice and urgent care office will have 21 exam rooms. In addition to primary care providers, the location will also house cardiology, pulmonology and general surgery practices. Mercy Health will offer diagnostic services on site, including lab draws, X-ray, mammography and cardiac testing.

The location will open with about five full-time providers and can grow to accommodate 11 providers in total. Mercy Health could add further services in the future, depending on patients’ needs.

Mercy Health expects to break ground on the facility in the late summer to early fall, with the facility’s opening slated for second half of 2019.

The health system purchased the 3.8-acre site on April 2 for $841,000, according to Butler County Auditor’s Office records.

Mercy Health acquired the property from Oberer Companies, which is developing a 50-acre site across Kyles Station Road that will be anchored by a soon-to-be-constructed Kroger Marketplace, a 10,000-square-foot retail center and free standing restaurant and service-oriented users.

Caroline McKinney, the township’s economic development director, said officials are pleased that Mercy Health will be expanding its presence in the community.

“It’s great to see continued growth in the healthcare sector,” McKinney told this news outlet. “Their new facility will be another great asset for the community, and will help jumpstart development around the new Kroger planned along Route 4.”

Mercy Health already has a presence in the township. Mercy Health-Liberty Falls Medical Center opened at 6770 Cincinnati-Dayton Road in 2008, and includes primary care and specialty physician offices, plus a comprehensive outpatient and diagnostic imaging center.

Mercy Health isn’t the only health network adding medical facilities in Butler County.

Premier Health’s Atrium Medical Center is constructing an approximately 12,000-square-foot facility at 6615 Cincinnati Dayton Road in Liberty Twp. It will house a primary care practice, specialty physicians and other services.

Atrium plans to construct an approximately 19,000-square-foot health center in Monroe at the northwest corner of Ohio 63 and North Main Street. It will house a primary care practice, specialty physicians, and potentially other services.

Kettering Health Network is building a 16,000-square-foot health center at 1391 Main St. in Hamilton. It will cost approximately $6 million and will offer outpatient services, including physician practices and imaging and lab services.
