Both Wagers and Harrison were indicted on charges of grand theft when property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, a third-degree felony; having a weapon under disability, a third-degree felony; breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, with a one-year firearm specification; and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony.
Both men are free on bond pending their scheduled arraignment at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 3 in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
Two other men are still awaiting trial in Warren County Common Pleas Court for a previous break-in at the same flea market on Nov. 4, 2019.
Monroe police responded to burglary alarm activation about 3:31 a.m. and found a man opening a door, then closing it after police arrived.
Police were able to get suspect Christian Hebenstreit, now 24, to come out of the building. Hebenstreit told police there was another suspect with a gun in the building.
Monroe officers, assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Middletown, Trenton and Mason police departments responded to the scene to establish a perimeter around the building.
The second suspect, Jonathan K. Roberts, 32, refused to comply with commands to exit the building. This resulted in officers from West Chester and Hamilton SWAT units to respond to assist with the situation. Roberts surrendered after West Chester SWAT officers entered the building.
Roberts and Hebenstreit are facing charges of breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools, both fifth-degree felonies.
Hebenstreit is free on bond while Roberts remains held in the Warren County Jail.
