“Inside Starship cargo bay. Header tanks mounted in tip of nosecone to offset engine weight at rear,” Musk wrote in a social media post accompanied by a 10-second video clip of the cargo bay in the huge spaceship.

“Production version will be a lot more polished than this prototype, but still fun to see,” he wrote.

Musk’s presentation of the landmark shiny, stainless steel Starship Mk1 on Saturday at SpaceX’s Boca Chica Launch Complex in Brownsville, Texas, was a first look at the fully assembled 100-passenger space vehicle.

Starship, which includes the Super Heavy rocket, is expected to make its first uncrewed flight 12-miles above the company's South Texas complex in the next month or two, according to Space.com, which cited previous statements from Musk.

SpaceX said on its website it expects the spacecraft to make its first orbital flight sometime next year with a crewed mission planned for 2023.
