A couple was pumping gas Friday when the dog, whose name has not been released, put the vehicle in motion, Slidell police said.
No vehicles were hit. One of the dog’s owners suffered minor injuries chasing down the vehicle, police said.
It is unclear how the diminutive dog was able to put the car into reverse. Video of the incident will be released at a later date, police said.
This is not the first incident involving a dog behind the wheel.
A Labrador somehow drove a car in circles in reverse for about an hour Thursday in a Florida neighborhood.
