An Indiana man honored health care workers battling the coronavirus by painting a nearly quarter-acre-sized American flag on his property.

It took Justin Riggins and a crew of helpers two hours to prepare the area and about five hours to apply the 30 gallons of paint for the 10,686-square-foot flag, WTHR reported.

"I wanted to honor the ones protecting us and our country, a tribute to our frontline health care (workers) that are keeping us healthy," Riggins told WTHR. "I'm just very patriotic and thought how cool it would be to have a huge flag for everyone to see and be proud of."

There are 22,942 confirmed cases and 1,414 deaths from the coronavirus in Indiana, according to The New York Times.
