According to People, the celebrity couple have been engaged since March 27, when the 42-year-old rapper proposed during a "surprise quarantine date" at his Los Angeles home, a representative for Mai, 41, told the magazine.

Before the coronavirus outbreak, the pair had planned to travel to Vietnam this month. That's where Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, had intended to propose to Mai, the magazine reported.

With those plans canceled, Jeezy did the next-best thing: He "decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie," filling his home with Vietnamese decor and food on the night he proposed, his representative said.

On Monday, Mai took to Instagram to share the news.

"I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life loving you," she captioned a photo of the couple.
