Update 9:10 a.m. EDT Aug. 27: Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin told WSFA that Zachary Rutherford was found safe Tuesday morning in the wood line.
He was found just after 6:30 a.m. local time, WRBL-TV reported.
Authorities launched a search for Zachary after family members reported he wandered away Monday night from a home in Wetumpka.
Original report: Search crews in Alabama are trying to find a missing toddler who reportedly disappeared Monday evening in Wetumpka.
According to WSFA, the Elmore County Sheriff's Office said the 3-year-old boy, who had been at a home near Tallassee Highway, apparently wandered into the woods about 7:30 p.m.
WRBL-TV reported that Hannah Ackerman, who referred to the boy as Zachary, shared his photo on Facebook late Monday.

The Sheriff's Office said the toddler was last seen shirtless, wearing pants and Crocs shoes, WSFA reported.
Several agencies are participating in the search, WRBL reported. The Alabama division of the Cajun Navy, an unofficial group of volunteers who help with searches for missing people, also is coming the area.
