South Carolina authorities are searching for those responsible for duct taping a dog’s mouth shut.
The Darlington County Sheriff's Office posted photos on its Facebook page asking for the publics' help.
Someone called in to say a dog was found walking around in Darlington, South Carolina, with tape on its head and face.
Deputies were able to catch the dog and remove the tape safely.
The dog was taken to a nearby animal shelter for care and treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to call deputies at 843-398-4501.
Darlington is about 95 miles southeast of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Officials said they are treating the dog, whom they named Aurora, for heartworms and an infected paw.
Calls have been pouring into the center to ask about adopting the dog.
