"It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show," Barrymore said in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS."
Barrymore joins an increasingly crowded space in celebrity-hosted daytime talk. Singer Kelly Clarkson recently started "The Kelly Clarkson Show," on NBC. Nick Cannon announced he will have a talk show produced by Debmar-Mercury, the same company behind Wendy Williams' hit talk show.
Not every celebrity has had success in daytime. Over the summer, actor Jerry O'Connell had a test run of his show, "Jerry O," but it wasn't picked up.
