Gotcha! . Finally after a week of trying I caught a bright green meteor this morning at 0330! Not caught in the literal sense as that would have been disastrous!This is most likely a nickel or copper-dense fragment given its strong green colour . I am presuming this to be an Eta Aquariid meteor, caused by small pieces of icy rock which separated from Halley's Comet hundreds of years ago. Unlike most major annual meteor showers, there is no sharp peak for this shower, but rather a broad maximum with good rates that last approximately one week centered around May 5 . My first astro shot with the new glass, hence the imperfect composition on the Milkyway in the frame (I am still getting used to a narrower field of view to what I have used for a couple of years🙄) .
