Thousands of fireworks overloaded with pyrotechnics have been recalled ahead of the Fourth of July.
The affected fireworks were sold primarily in Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
An 8-year-old boy lost his hand after he and a 12-year-old boy found a broken end of a Talon rocket and lit it, the consumer safety group said.
