A Florida man is accused of driving the wrong way down a St. Peterburg street with a baby in the car, authorities said. Police also said the man was driving while intoxicated in the early Friday incident, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Matthew Thomas Noll, 29, of Palmetto, was charged with child neglect, drunken driving, fleeing police and refusing to submit to alcohol testing, according to arrest records. Noll was released after posting $15,150 bail, according to Pinellas County Jail records.

According to a police report, Noll was convicted on DUI charges in 2011 and 2012, the Times reported.

Police said they saw Noll, driving a silver Ford F-150 pickup, run a stop sign in St. Petersburg. According to police, Noll then began driving on the wrong side of the road, the Times reported.

When police attempted to stop Noll, they said he drove away. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody, the newspaper reported.

According to the police report, officers found a baby sitting in a child restraint seat, the Times reported. Police also reported the truck's rear driver's side window was shattered, and that pieces of glass were near the child, according to the newspaper.

Noll refused to submit to field sobriety tests or provide a breath sample, police said.
