Florida mom arrested after video showed her choking baby boy with cord, police say

A Florida mom is facing child abuse and battery charges after police said she beat and choked her baby boy.

According to WTVJ and WSVN, Susana Hernandez, 18, of Opa-locka, was arrested Sunday after the infant's paternal grandmother said Hernandez had been abusing the boy. The grandmother also told officers that her son, who has been away for military training, had sent her videos of Hernandez striking the child and pulling a cord around the baby's neck.
