No sales tax will be charged on items like batteries, generators, weather radios and fuel cans, according to The Associated Press.
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the hurricane tax holiday into law earlier this month during the annual hurricane conference.
The law also not only helps cut the costs of preparing for a storm, but it also helps with the recovery from Hurricane Michael.
There are tax breaks for building materials and replacement fencing. It also helps with debris removal. Farmers who don't have use of their land anymore can get a property tax break, the AP reported.
