The alligator was in a pond near a resident and had two arrows impaled in its head and side. A rope was wrapped around its snout and feet, the newspaper reported.
Deputies and officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission helped a contracted alligator trapper remove the reptile. The reptile was alive and was transferred to an alligator farm, the News-Press reported.
The FWC is investigating the case.
