That was the message a west-central Florida police department had for 26 people who had layaway accounts at a Walmart in Dade City, WFLA reported.
Chief James Walters, of the Dade City Police Department, said his officers, with help from community members, paid off the accounts, which totaled more than $4,300, the television station reported. He relayed the news to each customer by telephone, WTSP reported.
