During a stop on the BBC Wednesday, the trio confirmed the tour.
"We all felt, 'Why not?' It sounds a bit of a lame reason - but we enjoy each other's company, we enjoy playing together," Collins said during the BBC interview.
They’ll be joined on stage by Nicholas Collins’ the frontman’s 18-year-old son on drums and Daryl Stuermer on guitar and bass.
One person missing from the tour will be founding member Peter Gabriel who left in 1975.
Genesis broke up in 1996 but reunited in 2007 during the "Turn It On Again" tour, which was supposed to be the last one, CNN reported.
Phil Collins, who has been battling health issues, had said he was up for a reunion only if his son would give the band the beat.

The tour, dubbed "The Last Domino?" will start in Dublin on Nov. 16. Tickets go on sale Friday, Rolling Stone reported.
