Owners are taking their animals window to window so the residents at facilities like Creekside Village in Mishawaka, Indiana, can see the horses, while staying safe in their rooms.
The visits boosted the mental health of some of the residents at the home.
"During the hard time, it's easy to get down and be negative, but if you can look at the positive light of it all and keep that outlook, I think that's really helpful," Meghan Stearly, the customer care coordinator at Creekside Village told WSBT.
Creekside Village is only one of 87 nursing homes that will be visited by Horses of Hope members.
