A large alligator was found Sunday morning stuck on the wrong side of a fence used to protect animals from wandering onto a Florida highway.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers found the reptile along “Alligator Alley” in Collier County.
"Way to at least stay in the grass shoulder and out of the travel lanes," troopers wrote on social media.

Alligators are more aggressive and mobile during their mating season, which is from April through June, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
