The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 4.7-magnitude earthquake near Cherokee, Oklahoma, in Alfalfa County near the Kansas border.
The quake was registered at 1:42 a.m. local time.
It was the largest earthquake recorded in the U.S. since Wednesday morning, when a 4.2-magnitude quake was registered in Oregon.
