Fallon Sherrock has become the first woman to win a match at the PDC World Championship.

According to Bleacher Report, Sherrock, 25, from England, needed two darts for a double 18 in the final checkout. She made six 180s, which is a perfect score over three darts, and averaged 91.12 in her first-round match against Evetts.
"I have proved that we can play the men and can beat them," Sherrock told the BBC after her victory at Alexandra Palace.
Sherrock had secured one of two spots for female players in the 96-person field. The other qualifier, Mikuru Suzuki of Japan, lost 3-2 to James Richardson on Sunday, the BBC reported.

Sherrock said the history-making feat was exciting.
"This is definitely one of the best moments I've had. I'm just so happy. I've just made history. I can't believe it. I've made a great achievement for women's darts," Sherrock, who was the BDO Women's World Championship runner-up in 2015, told the BBC.
