Tennessee authorities were not monkeying around Sunday when they arrested a man who they say broke into a home dressed in a gorilla costume and scared a 6-year-old girl.

Richard Muzick, 31, of Old Hickory, was arrested Sunday and charged with aggravated burglary, WZTV reported. According to police, Muzick entered a Mt. Juliet home around 2 p.m. dressed in the gorilla costume, WKRN reported.

The homeowner told police Muzick unlawfully entered the suburban Nashville residence through a back door, the television station reported. The resident confronted Muzick in the back yard after realizing he was just inside the home, The Tennessean reported.

According to police, Muzick ran away, but they found him moments later, WZTV reported.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed Muzick thought he was at someone else's home and was looking for that person, The Tennessean reported.

Muzick was booked into the Wilson County Jail, according to the newspaper.
