‘Mario Kart Tour’ will hit smartphones soon, beta testing starts next month

"Mario Kart Tour" is expected to be released for smartphones this summer, but Nintendo is looking for Android beta testers now.

If racing’s your game, especially with Mario and his gang at the wheel, then you may be happy to know that “Mario Kart Tour” is getting closer to driving onto your smartphone.

Closed beta testing on Android devices is expected to start from May 22 to June 4, but you can get in on the ground floor, Variety reported.

Applications to be a tester will be accepted until May 7 and testers will be randomly selected, according to company officials.

"Mario Kart Tour" was announced last year, but the game's release was changed from March 2019 to summer, The Verge reported.

The game will also be released for iOS, but the beta testing is only for Android devices.
