Chairman Fred Ridley said in a statement that Augusta National has been monitoring the situation closely and consulting with the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Georgia Department of Public Health.
"As a result of this collaboration, and based upon our knowledge of the situation at this time, we are proceeding as scheduled for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals and the Masters Tournament," Ridley wrote.
Officials are asking that everyone follow the preventive actions advised by the CDC to mitigate the spread of the virus. They are advising anyone traveling to Augusta to look up the most recent travel protocols and restrictions.
COVID-19 has killed 11 Americans on the West Coast. Two people were confirmed to have the virus in Georgia and are recovering at home.
