A man was arrested after Customs and Border Protection officials said they seized nearly 134 pounds of cocaine Saturday at the Pacific Highway Port of Entry in Blaine.

Officials said the cocaine was worth about $3 million.

CBP officials said they referred a tractor-trailer driven by a Canadian citizen for additional examination during an outbound inspection, KIRO-7 reported.

Inside the trailer, officials said they found five small duffle bags on the floor with 50 plastic-wrapped packages containing cocaine inside.

CBP officers said they took the man, identified as Ajitpal Sanghera, into custody and transferred him and the cocaine to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.

"Even during these times of heightened stress and uncertainty, our dedicated law enforcement officers are still out in the community working to remove dangerous drugs from the streets and I couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments," Eben Roberts, acting special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations Seattle, told KIRO-7.
