More than 12 cars parked on the ice fell through it at the Winterfest celebration in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin Saturday.
Crews worked for hours to remove the vehicles, according to Fox 6.
"Heed the warning, you travel at your own risk, but we don't recommend anybody go on the ice because of this type of situation," Lt. Ed Gritzner, Lake Geneva Police Department, told Fox 6.
Winterfest features the US National Snow Sculpting Competition, sled racing and other winter activities.
