NASA is trying to bring science fiction technology into reality.
The space agency is teaming up with Arx Pax to build micro-satellite capture devices, or in layman's terms, a tractor beam, Fox News is reporting.
The plan will use the company's Magnetic Field Architecture (MFA) technology to control and pair satellites from a distance.
The company has not said how the technology will work, saying it is a "work in progress."
Arx Pax is also working on another piece of movie-inspired technology. It is developing a hoverboard, similar to one made famous in the "Back to the Future" movie franchise.
