Orlando Uguccini and Berta Verestoy were married Aug. 27, 1949, according to Ohio marriage records.
The couple, who now live in Maple Heights, were married at St. Patrick's Church on the west side of Cleveland, WJW reported.
Orlando Uguccini, 97, was a chief electrical engineer with the National Spectrographic Labs in Cleveland and a research engineer for space optics for NASA until he retired in 1986, according to Ohio Today. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio University in 1949, according to the university's alumni magazine. Orlando is also a World War II veteran, WJW reported.
Berta Uguccini, 95, attended West Tech High School in Cleveland.

The couple lives in the same home in Maple Heights where they raised their four children, according to WJW.
The couple also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, the television station reported.
