Recall alert: Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches recalled due to mislabeling

Mondelēz Global LLC, the parent company of Ritz crackers, has announced a recall of cheese cracker sandwiches.

The box says Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches, but it contains peanut butter cracker sandwiches, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The individual packages inside the family-sized box do have the crackers listed correctly.

The recall only affects the 21.6-ounce carton with the UPC 0 44000 03826 7 and following “best by” dates:

  • Sept. 18, 2020
  • Sept. 20, 2020
  • Sept. 28, 2020
  • Sept. 29, 2020
  • Sept. 30, 2020
  • Oct. 1, 2020
  • Oct. 2, 2020

The FDA said if you have one of the recalled boxes, you should throw it away. If you have questions, you can call the company at 1-844-366-1171.
