'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' footage released at D23 Expo, Twitter

New footage of the long-awaited final chapter of the latest "Star Wars" trilogy was released over the weekend at the D23 Expo.

Now fans who were not able to attend the convention are able to see what was premiered during the three-day event in Anaheim.

In a Twitter post Monday morning, Disney released what the company called a special look at "The Rise of Skywalker."

The two-minute clip begins with a look back at the "Star Wars" saga through the upcoming movie.
