Steve Irwin died Sept. 4, 2006, after a barb from a stingray pierced his chest while he was filming a wildlife show, “Ocean’s Deadliest,” in the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44.
Steve's wife, Terri Irwin, remembered her husband on Twitter in a post that included four photos, People reported.
"Today would've been Steve's 58th birthday," Terri Irwin wrote. "While my heart aches missing him every day, I'm determined to celebrate what he loved the most. He was happiest spending time @AustraliaZoo w/ @BindiIrwin & @RobertIrwin. He was my best friend, best dad, & built the best Zoo. I love you."
