Banksy is back -- just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The British street artist confirmed on Instagram and on his official website that a mural on the side of a home in Bristol was his work, the BBC reported.

The latest artwork features a stencil of a girl with a slingshot shooting red flowers made with spray-painted ivy. The image also looks a bit like cupid firing an arrow, CNN reported.

The mural was Banksy's first public display in nearly two months. In December 2019, a dark manger scene was unveiled at a hotel in Bethlehem in the Israeli-controlled West Bank. That work was called "Scar of Bethlehem."

That work showed the manger of Jesus next to Israel's separation barrier, the BBC reported. The Nativity scene was set against concrete blocks that appear to be pierced by a mortar shell, creating the shape of a star, according to The Times of Israel.

Banksy is notable for the political and social commentary he puts into his work. He is also known for a wicked sense of humor.

In October 2018, "Girl With Balloon," a painting by Banksy, was sold at a Sotheby's auction in London for more than $1 million, the BBC reported.

As soon as the winning telephone bid was verified, Banksy’s most recognized work passed through a shredder that was installed in the frame, the network reported.
