A heartwarming video of a South Carolina police officer has gone viral.
According to ABC News, the clip, posted May 12 by Facebook user Lorenzo Adams, shows C.J. Mullinax of the Bennettsville Police Department playing football with kids near the local housing authority.
Many lauded the video for showing the positive impact officers can have in a community.
"I believe you can do so much more chasing a kid while holding a basketball or football than chasing a kid while holding a baton or gun," Bennettsville Police Chief Larry McNeil told ABC. "I always tell my guys they can do more with what's between their ears – their brain – than the holster on their side."
