Deg’s will seat about 35 and will open with 10 to 15 employees, according to Danielle Mackey, general manager of the new restaurant. The restaurant may have a “soft” opening in the days prior to the May 18 grand opening.

“We are a fast-casual restaurant, with everything made to order,” Mackey said. “All of our sauces are MSG-free, gluten-free, and all-natural, with no preservatives. And we use fresh, never-frozen chicken that has been marinated for 24 to 48 hours.”
The menu focuses on grilled chicken served multiple ways, including wraps, salads and burger-type sandwiches, accompanied by sides such as “healthy fries” that are baked, not fried. Deg’s also will introduce a handful of new menu items at both of its restaurants, including tofu burgers and a portobello mushroom sandwich, Mackey said.
Deg's offers advance ordering through its web site and also has a catering menu, Mackey said.
