The New York Police Department released images of a woman taken in the subway station after she allegedly hit a man in the face with a chair.

A woman allegedly hurled anti-Hispanic slurs at a man at a McDonald's in New York City before throwing a chair and hitting him in the face, WABC reported.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. March 25 at the fast-food restaurant in Manhattan’s Chinatown district, the television station reported.

New York police said the 33-year-old victim was sitting inside the restaurant when the woman allegedly began making anti-Hispanic statements, WNYW reported. She then allegedly added a racial slur before picking up a chair and throwing it, WABC reported.

The victim suffered a bruise to his face and was taken to a hospital, the television station reported.

It is unclear what led to the outburst, and police said they are investigating the incident as a hate crime, WABC reported.

The NYPD's Crime Stoppers program is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
