Ohio Lottery Surprises Local Woman With $1M

The Ohio Lottery surprised a Wapakoneta woman with $1 million after she won the prize on a scratch-off game.

Kimberly Vetter, 47, was presented with the $1 million check on Tuesday morning at the Gas America in Anna, where she purchased the scratch-off game.

According to lottery officials, Vetter was asked to appear at the lottery promotion at the retailer, unaware that she would be awarded the money.

Vetter now has to decide if she will take 20 annual payments of $50,000 or take a lump sum payment of $500,000 before taxes.

The game that Vetter used to win the $1 million prize is called Magnificent Millions.
