More on whether America is lost

We asked readers if America had lost its way — an assertion recently made by New York Times columnist Frank Bruni. A couple readers already weighed in. Here are more:

  • Americans are generally beyond lost. The wealth gap and our love for solving problems by treating preventable symptoms with toxic solutions are root causes of much pain and expense. — RANDY AND MEG KREILL
  • No! America hasn't lost its way. It's being confused by cynical politicians with the people exploited by oversized government. Political and financial cronyism with race baiting adding to the frustration and fears of the pending Armageddon due to an excessive national debt and disastrous foreign policy by an incompetent administration. Add this all up and what do you expect? — KEN NORMAND
  • In my book, we are still winning. But we must continue to study, learn and move forward. — LYLE WHYBREW
