On Monday, a video emerged showing Baltimore Ravens’ three-time Pro-Bowl running back Ray Rice violently punching his then-fiancee (and now wife) in the face, knocking her out cold. Then he is seen dragging her limp body from the elevator.
After the video was made public, the Ravens terminated Rice’s contract and the NFL suspended him indefinitely.
Last month, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down a two-game suspension to Rice for the incident that happened over Valentine’s Day weekend. Goodell, the NFL and the Ravens all claim that they had not previously viewed the portion of the tape showing Rice beating Janay Rice.
Now, several bloggers are criticizing Goodell and the league, accusing them all of turning a blind eye to this domestic violence incident and are now calling for Goodell to step down from his post. What do you think? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
