When the lawmakers make laws for minorities, the majority will wind up suffering.
This is very confusing. The public sector is being slammed by the private sector. Talk about hypocrisy. Simple example: AK Steel, (according to the) April 27 Middletown Journal, had a net loss last year of $128.9 million; yet CEO (James) Wainscott still makes close to $10 million. If he would had failed that miserably as a teacher, a fireman or a nurse, he would have been canned without a moment's hesitation. You public-worker critics are pathetically confused.
I agree with Nell Teater ("Leave the name," April 26 letters). I say leave the name of Vail Middle School as it is. Why go through all that process, like she says, with paper, letterhead and all that? I say it's got a good name. Leave it that way or take a vote on it and see what comes out. I would vote for Vail.
