Airstream's Jackson Center operation will grow in late December when travel trailer manufacturing moves into a new 750,000 square-foot, $50 million facility. Production in the new Shelby County facility will begin at the start of the new year. About 960 people work at the Airstream operation in Jackson Center. Workers who manufacture motor homes across the street will move into the former travel trailer manufacturing plant and service will move into the former motor home facility.
