Police: Argument Between Sisters Lead To Stabbing

Police said a family disagreement erupted into violence in Dayton on Wednesday night. They said one woman was stabbed and another was arrested, but police are not sure what started the fight.

Officers said they began getting calls around 7 p.m. about a problem or a fight in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. Police said that when officers arrived at the scene, they found that a 63-year-old woman had been stabbed in the chest.

Authorities said their investigation revealed that the victim's 65-year-old sister had stabbed her.

Medics arrived and took the victim to Grandview Hospital. Police said they arrested the victim's sister and began questioning her about what led to the stabbing.

Investigators said that at this point, it is unclear what the motive for the stabbing is. Police said the victim is in serious condition but believe her injuries are not life-threatening.

Authorities said the victim's sister could face felony assault charges after police talk with prosecutors.
